The worst West Ham performance you have seen?

I think we are all in agreement that last nights performance was appalling and for many long time fans we have seen many of those over the years but what is the worst team performance and individual performance you have ever seen by West Ham?
Memories of those 2 league cup semi finals in 88/89 against Luton and Oldham come to mind. Even under Harry when we had those great players we lost 4 nil at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

Any of the recent Man City thrashings from Upton Park to Stratford
4-0 away to charlton in 2007
4-0 away to Arsenal in 98

Home to Wolves ubder Zola was worst. Thing is for 20mins of the first half we looked good. After the goal we turned to shit. Not really any leaders on the pitch. And Noble's no better

What happened 20 years ago is difficult to compare to what happened yesterday.
But take into consideration,
World class pitch
World class wages
Professional footballers
Luxury lifestyles
World class physios
World.class management
Ok, it's discussable how world class some things are..
This in consideration, last night was both unacceptable and the worst performance in modern time

As I thought.
There seems to be this theory on here that no modern day performance can be regarded as near to an all time low, you usually here 'you obviously haven't supported us for long then if you think that was one of our worse ever performances' when someone makes such a claim.
Pound for pound, everything considered, I highly doubt there has been 10 worse performances than what we witnessed on Friday. How is it even possible?

Completely disagree with that. Not only did we lose to a shit promoted side 0-3 (has that ever happened before?) there was zero effort and the players were literally walking around, but there has been at least 10 'performances' worse than that?? Not a chance, Friday night was right up there without a doubt.

Am sure I remember a 0-1 home performance against Southampton in about 1998/99 that was pretty awful

barnsley in the league cup
2 - 0 up at half time 2 - 2 afer 90 mins lost 5 - 2 after extra time
last season 4 - 2 at home to watford after being 2 - 0 up
losing 5 - 1 to arsenal at home last season
losing 5 - 0 to spurs in the league cup 3 goals in the last few minutes

Yesterday was right up (down?) there, considering the context of we needed a result and a performancer to show we mean business, yet lacked even an ounce of urgency. Lacklustre at a time like this was disgraceful. Part of me thinks Bilic should have fired them up, but due to said context, any professional footballer shouldn't have needed telling.
I know the owners should have stick for failing to do truly good transfer business, but the manager and players should all jointly shoulder the blame for tha spineless showing.

there's loads worse but one that will always hurt me when thinking about is the replayed league cup quarter final against villa. we were beyond poor that night, a disgraceful performance that really left its mark

Friday night was the worst since the move, going back, the 6-0 away loss to city, prior to that and under Grant, there were a few, both Curbs and Pardew had some shockers, and then beyond that we had the Roeder years............
Fuck me its depressing, will we ever break the cycle?

Last night must be up there in the top 10 from last 25 years.
Other highlights;
Gary Breen inspired 6-0 loss to Man Utd
Wind / rain and plastic pitch in a 6-0 loss to Oldham
Bottling chance to win old second division with a 1-2 loss against Notts County
Any 0-0 or 0-1 home loss in the championship. Pardew was good at those.
Those cup defeats to Wrexham etc.
Losing 4-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday in late 90's. My uncle was the match sponser and gave man of the match rightly to Carbone. After that club changed the rules to make it the "west ham man of the match".
Losing to Forest under Big Sam
Losing 4-1 to Millwall and they missed two penalties.
God this is a depressing thread.

1987 at a packed Upton park 1987 FA cup game, we lost 0-2 to Sheffield Wednesday that was utterly shit .
